"Revival" mixed media-painting series.
Icon snowboards asked for graphics for their Revival series snowboards. I created four art pieces asa base for the graphics. I couldn't resist connecting the word "revival" with spiritual awakening, and the "Icon" in Icon snowboards as a spiritual point of departure for the graphics. Through a study of the greek-orthodox iconography, I decided to use the four Gospels as the basis for the four boards; Mark, Matthew, Luke and John, depicting the distinctive literary tones of each of these literary works to a visual telling through the graphics. Being a snowboarder, pastor and a visual artist, this was a very fitting project :)

Each work has as a background strucure hand painted oil on canvas, which was photographed. 3D characters from 3DSMax were rendered as a reference, brought to Corel Painter and painted digitally. These were all composited in Photoshop and the rest of the graphics added there.
The final product has been rigorously tested by the artist over the years.
