'Wilderness'...this is a major shift in technique for me. Using the word as a starting point, I have looked at the subject from different perspectives seeking to convey the sense of 'challenge', isolation, abandonment, and separation. My intention is that this will be the beginning of a short series of paintings which have a common subject but which I explore  in an imaginative way. It is a mixed media piece which is based on the use of photography, digital image manipulation and acrylic paints. It is painted on canvas board 40x30cms.
