Dhaka, an urban tapestry teeming with life, grapples with the weight of being one of the world’s most densely populated cities. Within this dynamic hub, a diverse array of inhabitants, including the affluent, seeks residences that mirror their modern lifestyles. Addressing this void, this project introduced a trans formative endeavor a studio type condominium nestled in the elite area of Dhaka. The project aims to enhance individuals’ creative and design capabilities by focusing on innovative ideas, formal expression, and considerations of structure, functionality, and the environment.
Featuring 120 units including 56sqm studio apartments, 74sqm and 94sqm apartments for small families—it redefines urban living. Utility facilities mirror modern needs, with administrative offices, laundry facilities, cleaning facilities, super shop, restaurant,  first aid, a library, day care facilities, indoor sports, gender-specific gymnasium, swimming pool, and prayer areas. Adequate parking aligns with urban mobility realities.
In this project, the principle of ‘form follows function’ takes center stage, guiding the design process. Every vertical circulation element strategically aligns with fire safety measures, ensuring a secure environment. The arrangement of units and community spaces on each floor prioritizes accessibility, guaranteeing everyone’s seamless access to amenities. Furthermore, the aesthetic development harmonizes with environmental considerations and functional values, striking a balance that enhances both the visual appeal and practical utility of the design.
THE CORRIDOR : THE TERRACE : THE COURTYARD
The corridor, a silent conductor in the symphony of housing units, is designed for tranquility, minimizing the sound of steps and neighborly chatter. The terrace, beyond brick and mortar, is a vibrant hub for social narratives, emphasizing its pivotal role in vertical houses. A house with a courtyard is more than shelter; it’s a mediator, balancing environmental, socio-cultural, and economic aspects and fostering a thriving community beneath the open sky.
