Na minha abordagem, mergulhei profundamente nos conceitos por trás da faixa, explorando tanto os aspectos musicais quanto líricos. Meu objetivo era capturar e traduzir visualmente a essência da música, enfatizando temas como ambição e a incessante busca pelo poder. A capa que criei sugere que o desejo de dominar o mundo, embora seja uma aspiração comum, carrega complexidades e nuances que vão além da simplicidade aparente.
Esteticamente, optei por empregar tons quentes e o uso de desfoque para evocar uma sensação retrô, remetendo à qualidade visual característica das imagens dos anos 80 - a era em que a música foi originalmente lançada. Esse estilo não foi apenas uma homenagem ao período de origem da faixa, mas também uma forma de criar uma ponte entre o passado e o presente, refletindo a atemporalidade e o impacto contínuo de "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" nas gerações atuais.
It was an incredibly honorable experience for me to breathe new life into the iconic track "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by the legendary Tears for Fears. In 2023, I had the opportunity to collaborate again with DJ Scorz in creating the cover for the rework of this emblematic song.
In my approach, I delved deeply into the concepts behind the track, exploring both its musical and lyrical aspects. My aim was to capture and visually translate the essence of the song, emphasizing themes of ambition and the relentless pursuit of power. The cover I created suggests that the desire to dominate the world, although a common aspiration, carries complexities and nuances that extend beyond apparent simplicity.
Aesthetically, I chose to use warm tones and blur effects to evoke a retro feel, reminiscent of the visual quality characteristic of images from the 80s - the era when the song was originally released. This style was not only a homage to the period of the track's origin but also a way to bridge the past and present, reflecting the timelessness and ongoing impact of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" on current generations.
