Through extensive exploration of visual representations for MOVE, I arrived at a minimal letter form, that simply replaced the ‘O’ with a pair of brackets. While visually simple, the meaning these brackets potentially hold are a lot deeper and complex.

The brackets are a symbol that represent openness and encapsulate the people and communities ECWI aims to impact and empower. It is also an opportunity to answer the questions: “Who are we mobilising?”, “What are we overcoming?”, “How can we be more versatile?” and “Who are we evangelising to?”  – questions that deeply resonant with the 2024 theme's acronym.

The brackets expand and contract to frame the content within them. They could incorporate an image, possibly demonstrating a community outreach or a worship event. It can become an open space for others to suggest ideas that will empower the kingdom of God. It may also become a space for prayer points, a visual tool to encourage others to share their burdens, but also pray for someone else. Finally, they represent the bringing together of diverse individuals into one wholesome community.
