Artists were given carte blanche to do illustrated type treatments for the Nike SB logo. Since it had to still be readable from afar, I decided that rather than have one single form be a letter, I'd make each letter an amalgam of forms. Inspired by the creature from 'The Thing' I fused together crustaceans, lions, reptiles, and octopus.
