OBJECTIVE
Find a gap in the production of a local business and create a solution that connects both printed and digital media along with recognizing the use of the five senses in the design outcome.
PROCESS & SOLUTION
After researching, I decided to fill the void of the non-existant concierge lounge at the Marriott Courtyard Savannah. Since the courtyard was created for a typical business traveler, someone whom would have points for a concierge lounge, it didn't seem to make sense why there wasn't one incorporated into the hotel. In order to fill this gap, I wanted to bring in the local savannah flavor by creating a snack box which would be presented in the statused member's room upon arrival. The snacks each have QR codes to link the user to the site along with directions to the location. Additionally, the guest is then suggested to use the interactive map in the lobby of the concierge level to find places to eat or things to do, all of which are also scannable straight to the users Iphone for convienance.
