In this alternate reality, Thanos believes that the Infinity Stones have disintegrated after the snap, but the truth in the parallel universe is entirely different: The power of the Stones has been harnessed and controlled by the 'Watcher' in the What If...? series. And you know what? Iron Man is the successor to the 'Watcher,' as he has come into direct contact with the Infinity Stones...
