Created using 3ds Max. I reworked my older palm tree model to create something more realistic and less low-poly. This also gave me the oppurtunity to learn about alpha maps, as I needed to find a way to create the leaves.
In this model I never actually used any alpha maps, instead I decided to go for .tif files as the alpha maps I did use created a horrible white outline around the leaves. Overall, I think I this model turned out excellent and would work quite well in a beach environment. The only thing I would honestly change would be to make the trunk slightly bent to make it seem more natural.
