Binpong. Gamifying recycling

Branding for an eco-startup

CHALLENGE & APPROACH
Binpong is an eco-startup aimed at reducing the environmental impact by encouraging people to collect and recycle plastic waste.
Agency task was to develop a complex branding for a project. It is an innovative mobile app that rewards users with cryptocurrency for collecting and recycling plastic waste. The app uses blockchain technology to provide a secure, transparent and decentralized reward system. By partnering with environmentally conscious brands, Binpong increases the value of rewards and encourages responsible recycling and waste reduction.

NAME
The name Binpong reflects the mechanics and philosophy of the app. We turn garbage collection and plastic recycling into a fun game. Recycle, earn, repeat.
Absolutely everyone knows the game of Pin Pong. Some people prefer to play Beer Pong on a Friday night. And those who work in an office sometimes imagine themselves as Steph Curry and spectacularly throwing garbage into the trash bin. Bam! Three points! And what if something from that trash can flies back at you? Thanks to the Binpong app, your properly disposed of real plastic bottle is converted into tokens, which you can spend on goods and services from your favourite brands.

DESIGN
The concept is based on the icon of a crumpled bottle – a simple and understandable symbol of plastic in the environment. The logo is a mascot in the form of a bottle which is a good visual tool that creates a strong emotional connection with the brand. This is a combined logo consisting of an icon and a dense font part. The identity is based on bright contrast colors and illustrations with adaptive mascot that changes emotions depending on the context.
Through the ingenuity of artificial intelligence, we adorn our social media platforms with striking illustrations that blend artistic finesse and vibrant energy. This captivating visual approach offers a refreshing perspective on recycling, emphasizing its significance as an ingrained part of our cultural heritage rather than mundane waste disposal.
