mini album:
"amidst the rain"
The creator explores the limit of camera capability to isolate objects using a low aperture (f/) setting.
A dark & less saturated background was applied to semiotically add "drama" as well as
to effectively emphasize the vibrant color of the flowers.
mini album:
"yesterday"
The creator explores the limit of camera capability to capture the shades of colors across two opposite extremes (pitch black - pure white; dynamic range) & embraces those limitations by
turning it into its own "unique aesthetic characteristic".
1. A narrow dynamic range combined with low megapixel & non-AI-assisted Image processing produces similar quality compared to a 35mm film camera in terms of detail quality but without the natural teal/orange color carried from the widely used type of film roll.
2. Bloom effect can be easily achieved by increasing exposure & decreasing the clarity of the image.
3. adding a bloom effect to a mildly over-exposed image will create a "dreamy" feeling while increasing exposure & contrast on an under-exposed image will semiotically produce a dramatic impression.
mini album:
"home"
The creator explores the limit of images produced by the camera to retain its quality after editing process
(cropping, color correction & manipulation).
This camera is only able to shoot on .jpeg, hence the image "artifact" frequently becomes apparent when the author attempts to recover detail in an under-exposed picture.
