I depicted the theme of helplessness and surrender to the divine plan, as expressed in Mevlana’s quote, “You walk in the water, yet the water is within you,” by portraying the formation of real worlds through threads in my animation. Just as threads come together to create fabric, fate weaves its web around us. The use of thread and line-like shapes also reflects the significance of textile culture in Anatolia. Although thread is transient in the material world, it carries spiritual values and serves as a means to connect communities from the material to the spiritual realm. This animation, along with its emphasis on Mevlana’s words, presents a philosophical narrative that highlights the necessity for individuals to surrender themselves to the flow of life.
