My work is a visual run through the process of a blackout. After the great darkness, the light brightens up the black slowly. Maybe one remembers snippets or tiny details of what happened, but the picture is not quite complete yet. It clears up more and more. But all of a sudden there is a huge mess and everything gets blurry again. Headaches appear. Then, the memory slowly recovers until it is complete again.
Nevertheless if you take a closer look, you can see tiny errors and gaps who will stay as permanent damage.
The map on which roads and rivers meander and coil their ways is a beautiful analogy for the convolution of the brain. The disruption pictures are so-called “glitches”. These are created because of imperfect data transmission or home made by deleting or adding text segments in the file of the picture, opened with Textedit.
