A collection of graphic props I made for Annie Atkins' Domestika course "Designing and Making Graphic Props for Filmmaking"
In this course, we made a series of props that help tell the story of an escaped criminal. I recently inherited some tickets and passports that belonged to my Granny and Granda when they moved to Canada from Northern Ireland in the 60s. My Granda's passport photo really captured me with his "try me" sort of attitude. I decided to use these documents as reference and took the actual timeline of my grandparents' immigration story to help shape my story. I just had to... "moviefy" it.

It was an interesting challenge to try and figure out how best to replicate the looks of old documents to a time when they weren't old, but still worn from use. I had a fun time problem-solving, researching and using new and old techniques and equipment to make these props.
