In 2015 I started taking pictures of buildings, I was captivated by the patterns of the windows and the lines of the architectural designs. I had a theory that the buildings caught my attention because in the city where I grew up, we only have one building.
My theory has changed since I was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), now everything makes sense and I see that the lines of the buildings give me tranquility and therapeutic relaxation when I edit the photos and make the horizontal lines horizontal and the vertical lines vertical because when taking a photo from a street perspective what we have is diagonals.
This personal project is 9 years old and I call it Beautiful Patterns and has given me peace every time I edit this kind of photos that I didn't know why I enjoyed it so much, but now I know it and I feel happier.
