1/ SOCIETY LOGO
"Thank you for signing up with the first, ever, SOAS East Asia Society.

This is the collateral design for e-newsletters and logo for the aforementioned student society under SOAS, University of London.

谢谢, ありがとうござます、唔該, ཐུགས་རྗེཞེ་དྲག་ཆེ་།, 감사합니다

We believe that SOAS should have a society that represents many of the students own cultural backgrounds and their academic life here. More importantly, we want to connect you and your varying interests in East Asia and in order to show eachother how linked the region can be, enabling better communication between ourselves. We want to support ourselves, as youth, and our internationally educated mentality, which is the key to overcoming difficult history, political burdens, past and present. Therefore, we aim to become a platform for cross-cultural and international communication and discussion...with booze every now and again."

Newsletter and official society logo header. Deliberately placed the hand cursor design for people to click - the header is linked to the Facebook page of the society.

The design of EASoc (EastAsia Society) began from a doodle.
Like the origins of the society's vision and mission to bridge the three East Asian countries together, I drew something that could be drawn within a single line. The kernings did not matter as a lot of imperfections and tracing from the scanned image proves the student-friendliness towards error.

The swoosh of the 'A' is meant to mildly resemble the Japanese Torii Gate.

This logo is only used for internal communications. The professional header for this society is as seen on No. 3.
The outer perimeters indicate the clock. For the OFFLINE FORUM event.
Initial designs through drawings for the CONFERENCE event.
