Leap Motion App

One of the big stars of SXSWi 2013 was Leap Motion.  They were working on a new way to interface with machines in 3D space.  Using gestures and hand movements instead of swipes, it promised to add another dimension to interfaces.

The Product Innovation team partnered with Leap Motion and Evox Images to create the "Driver's Seat" app.  A totally new way to explore new cars.

As it was a new way to interact with the digital world, we had to rethink everything about the interface and break new ground in visual and user experience.  The result was a bold yet intuitive way to explore new vehicles.

Check out a video for our app on Mashable to see it in action: http://mashable.com/2013/07/09/autotrader-leap-motion-app/

Menu Navigation
Making a fist calls up the menu screen.  Once it is up, you hold your hand flat and move it up, down, left, or right and hold it over the icon.  It triggers a quick 2 second count with an indicator to let you know you are about to navigate.
