Shinka Sake is an imagined Sake brand, with "Shinka" meaning "to evolve" in Japanese. My concept was to take certain classic elements in Japanese style and adapt them into something with intrigue and novelty.

Shinka Sake also considers the environment, which can be seen in their agriculture, workplace standards, and even in their bottling and packaging. The logo is printed directly onto the bottle using biodegradable ink. With time, it's actually meant to wear off. This fits-in with the concept of Shinka, as evolution invovles constant birth and death. The critical information about the product, like the ingredients and regulatory stamps, are etched into the bottle. This process is much more expensive but, Shinka Sake aims to attract a crowd who sees the planet as a worthy investment.
