This project was centered around shaping wire into a portrait. This is my first time making a wire sculpture.
With this sculpture I wanted to capture a grumpy cat face and head. The thin wire I worked with was very hard to make into intricate shapes, so working with my fingers and pliers constantly was a big challenge. I found that making small hooks and reinforcing it with tape to help hold its position worked the best, though I'm not super happy with how the tape looks. This experience has taught me through trial and error what works best for shaping and connecting wires for a sculpture of this kind.
