Letterform Archive Booklet Project

Typography Project 2: Letterform Archive Booklet
This booklet explores some of the fundamentals of type design, with each chapter adding on a new element. The content comes from the Letterform Archive, a nonprofit organization with a physical art gallery in San Francisco who hosts community events and publishes a magazine. My designs include information about the organization as well as some of the featured exhibits of Fall 2023. The color scheme in my booklet is inspired by the brightness of fauvism.
These are the individual pages, starting with basic layouts of same-size text, gradually working towards applying concepts such as hierarchy of scale, contrast, axis use, photography, and digital collages.
One of the collages is featured in this mockup, showcasing the square format and usage of alignment and space. The blue is one of the main colors in the limited color palette.
