My partner and I did a road trip to the USA with the aim to find and photograph great cars on location using the FDL technique, and also to meet the people who are part of the USA automotive community.
What a great time we had! The cars were jaw-droppingly beautiful, and too many to photograph, and at the same time, we made so many new friends who went out of their way to make our trip more exciting.
In total, I shot 17 000 shots and invested a lot of time and effort to improve my technique.
This Porsche 918 was a definite highlight from our trip. The bright colour wasn't easy to work with for this kind of fine art automotive photography, but I managed to adjust my workflow to create the right balance between showing just enough detail and retaining the impact of the colour.
