The prompt of this project was to create a design for an event. I was instructed to create a poster for the event, as well as three corresponding social media posts. I decided to create designs for a Christian music festival, as I feel this is something I would attend personally and left me a large amount of room for design graphics. In creating the poster, I used a disco ball as the main graphic in the design because I felt as though it added character, went along with the music theme, and allowed me to add color in unique places. I chose to use bright, fun color to help convey the feeling of the music festival and invite the viewer to take a closer look. I also chose to use a bold yet modern font to also attract the more modern Christian generation, as the music at the festival contains more modern worship artists.
