A depiction of the Penrose triangle, also known as the impossible triangle. It is an optical illusion consisting of an object which can be depicted in a perspective drawing, but cannot exist as a solid object. The optical illusion is further emphasised by the fact the artwork is made up entirely of black and white squares.

This work is part of the Geometry series, using simple shapes and gradients to represent ideas, forms and philosophies. The pieces within this series are all in bitmap using a square halftone screen - thus showing that perception can create the illusion of depth, curvature and/or shadow with one colour restricted to a horizontal/vertical orientation.
