Editorial project

The Journal is the last project i realised during my first year of master in editorial design in FBAUP (Fine Arts Faculty - Portugal).
The purpose of this book is to do a feedback of my first year of master. I choose to dedicate a second part to a more private side of my year with some memories.

This book is divided in two parts: FBAUP & Porto life.

The FBAUP part is divided in three parts according to the semester. In the first part there is a feedback with personals comments and appreciations but also some projects of Illustration, Infography and Typography courses and in the second part there is the feedback of Art Direction, Advanced Design and Methodology courses. The Project class was a whole-year course and he has is own part.
The Porto life part is much more easier, it's just pictures of memories, places and people i've met this year and that make this experience so unforgettable.

Paper, binding & finitions
Printed on Munken Pure 150 gr. recycled paper according a nice cream color and a smooth touch.
Handmade binding using carton and black imitation leather for the cover, black 170gr. endpaper and invisible sewing giving a old-school-journal style.

There is a small black ribbon to mark a page and decorate the book.

Projet editoriel

The Journal est le dernier projet scolaire que j'ai créé durant ma première année de master en design éditorial à la FBAUP (Faculté des Beaux-Arts de l'Université de Porto - Portugal).

Le but de ce livre est de faire un résumé, un feedback, de ma première année de master. J'ai choisi de dédier la deuxième partie de mon livre à des souvenirs sous forme de photo.

Ce livre est divisé en deux parts: FBAUP & la vie à Porto

La partie FBAUP est divisée quant à elle en trois parties suivant les semestres. La première partie est un feedback avec appréciation et commentaires personnels et photos de projets sur les cours d'Illustration, Infographie et Typographie et la seconde partie concerne les cours de Direction Artistique, Design Avancé et Methodologie de Recherche. Le cours de Projet quant à lui possède sa propre partie puisqu'il s'est étalé tout au long de l'année.
La partie concernant ma vie à Porto est bien plus simple puisqu'il s'agit uniquement de photos de souvenirs, endroits et personnes que j'ai rencontré cette année et qui ont rendu cette expérience rendue si inoubliable.

Papier, reliure et finitions
Imprimé sur du papier recyclé Munken Pure 150 gr. qui procure au livre un toucher doux et une agréable couleur crème.
Reliure manuelle en carton et tissu en similicuir pour la couverture, pages de garde noire sur papier 170 gr. et couture invisible offrant un aspect naturel et tradionnel au livre offrant un effet de vieux journal vintage.
Il y a également un petit ruban noir permettant de marquer une page et de décorer le livre.
