"9-5 Jobs Harm Kids; How Remote Work Enhances Bonds"

We often overlook the massive impact absent parents working 9-5 jobs have on children. Important moments in their lives are often neglected or missed due to parents inadvertently trading quantity for quality time. This causes the child to have emotional voids created by their absence; it can manifest in many forms, from a lack of guidance to feelings of abandonment.

Although tilting towards remote jobs brings about a progressive solution, working from home enables parents to strike a balance between professional responsibilities and family life. This stimulates a stronger bond, allowing the parents to actively participate in their child’s daily routine, from schoolwork to extracurricular activities. Moreover, it greatly reduces the stress of commuting from home to the office and rigid schedules; it contributes to a healthier work-life integration.

This newfound balance benefits the child since they would no longer go looking for validation from outsiders. It greatly impacts their lives where there wouldn’t be the absence of a father or mother figure in their lives. This balance also leads to increased job satisfaction and productivity.

Though most times, the question often asked is, “What are the skills needed to get these jobs?” Unlike traditional jobs, remote positions often require fewer specialized skills. Many roles value adaptability, communication, and basic technical proficiency. Most of these skills are basic things you already know, and others can easily be acquired. Some of these skills include writing, editing, branding, advertising, art, fashion designing, and even tech-related skills like programming and designing, to name a few. The world of remote jobs brings opportunities, where your willingness to learn and collaborate can be your greatest asset.

Now, this is not a propaganda against parents who have to hustle 9-5 jobs to put food on the table, no! This is to educate you on how remote jobs aid in building better relationships with your children. Okay, let’s do this: picture a 12-year-old child that has to basically be the man or woman of the house, tending to his or her own needs and that of their younger ones like preparing meals, getting ready for school, and even taking the bus by themselves and watching over the house till nightfall, all because the parents had to meet up with the early and late hours of work. Yes, some might say it helps give the child a sense of responsibility, but I say no; it takes away the joy of being a child, it robs them of one of the most precious things they need: their childhood.

Finally, the switch from 9-5 jobs to remote jobs comes as a vital solution, bridging the gap between professional commitments and the emotional needs of children. It levitates towards a harmonious family dynamic, making certain that parents are not just physically present but also actively engaged in their children’s lives.
