Crossroads Centre in Lublin
Crossroads Centre is a municipal cultural institution operating in Lublin since 2008. The Center's activities are deeply rooted in the locality of the region, but we place experiences in a universal perspective and global trends in the specific practices of our everyday life.
We constantly try to confront the living traces of traditional cultures with the utopias of the 20th century avant-garde and new artistic explorations. We try to release the pent-up energy provided by the meeting of tradition with the art of modernism and postmodernism, revealing forgotten meanings and placing them in a contemporary context.
The Center's ambition is to undertake bold, risky initiatives, penetrating yet unknown territories and cultural "crossroads". We look at the processes of meeting, dialogue and confrontation, inspiring attitudes of tolerance and social responsibility.
We want artistic activities to become a vehicle for cultural change, co-create the foundations of a new sensitivity and give food for thought about future things. We organize the KODY Festival of Tradition and Musical Avant-Garde, the Open City Festival of Art in Public Space and other cultural events.
