I wanted to showcase the warm, welcoming feeling of southern hospitality through the word "y'all". Which is a dead giveaway to southern folk.

Texan's are very proud of their southern roots, especially when it comes to food and fashion. Which is why I chose to showcase these photo's in newspapers and magazines.

The singular star clip in the hair alludes to the lone star state; Texas. 

Women are taught to yield to men, to follow blindly. Which is why I have positioned the women beneath the men and eating the apples. The apples allude to the story of Adam and Eve. 

The setting of a basketball court was deliberate, for it's a male dominated sport (ie. NBA vs WNBA). As if the "W" discredits the sport? Why is that?

Unsettled women with poisonous apples.

 The tones of blue and pink are there to make the audience question gender roles and it's hierarchy.
