Times Square explodes with screens and sounds crying for attention. Protestors trickle by, but I barely notice them. Their voices are drowned out and their signs lost in a sea of advertising.

I take pictures of cookie monster, King Kong, and a cyclist while salesmen try to push pamphlets into my hands. Part of me feels bad for those people. I’ve never seen someone stop for them.
