The first stage of the project was to produce my 3d model of a paper JCB, polygon by polygon the JCB was built and textured, each individual bolt carried more than 30 polygons. The rendering of a model this size was immense and very intensive.
I had to play around with the lighting as I wanted the texture of the paper to be captured.
I produced a fully textured JCB also to be used in my project which again took considerable hours that progressed into weeks. The final result though is incredible and the textures reacted really well with the lighting.
This is a caption of part of the animation where the JCB shows it's strength by smashing through what you think is a paper wall.
The idea was an animation sequence of a paper city with JCB driving through it.
The final sequence is the JCB fully textured driving through the animated rising paper city.
