In this project, I needed to design a random 3D object, related to the topic of our essay, mine was Art Nouveau. I also had to relate the object, mask, to COP 28, happening in Dubai. I needed to tie the mask to the topic of sustainability, Sustainable Fashion and Food.

Process

My essay theme was Art Nouveau, which is already related to nature. So I decided to focus on the most recognizable elements of it, the ladies surrounded by greenery. My idea was a call to action, “Too beautiful to die. Save the planet!”. The viewer looks at a beautiful lady, who is as gorgeous as the Earth we live on, and realizes that they do not want either of them to die and are encouraged to think and take action. I greatly enjoyed this project, because I have never tried painting on an object, so it was a new learning experience.
