The Wider Mbarara Project is a 5 year/step charity project that endeavours to provide accommodation and other previously unavailable resources to communities around Mbarara, Uganda. Together with the 2013 team we completed the stage 5 of the House of Love building work, which provided accommodation for around 20 orphaned children, shower and toilet facilities, water collection system and other amenities.
For 6 weeks we lived and worked with the community that we supported. The work included designing, masterplanning, building, managing time, budget and team, buying materials and negotiating arising issues.
