Bengal Pattachitra
The Bengal Patachitra is a visual and oral art tradition practised by the Patuas or Chitrakars of West Bengal. The word 'Pata' comes from the Sanskrit word 'Pata', meaning a kind of fabric/ cloth and ‘Chitra ‘refers to painting.
