Twisted was created in response to a design problem; to create a structurally sound stool both with physical and aesthetic lightness. My inspiration came from researching packaging, specifically different ways to fold paper. I came across tetrahedrons and really appreciated the simplicity of their form. I translated this literally into Twisted where even if a 300 pound person were to have a seat, the way the metal is folded would only create a stronger resistance.
