History of the Boston Terrier
The Boston Terrier breed originated in the United States in the late 19th century. The breed was developed by crossing the English Bulldog with the now-extinct White English Terrier. The result was a compact, well-muscled dog that quickly gained popularity in Boston, Massachusetts, hence the name “Boston Terrier.”
