When traveling around Poland, you can come across many historic buildings, palaces, farms and castles, which have been preserved in very good condition to this day. In Kórnik, on a small island, there is a castle surrounded by a moat.
The history of this castle dates back to the Middle Ages and its current appearance owes its appearance to its owner, Tytus Działyński, who transformed the medieval castle into a baroque palace.Currently, inside the castle there is a museum with various exhibits from different styles and eras. The museum is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., and one hour longer in the summer season.
While in the castle, it is impossible not to see beautiful carriages from the 19th century located in the nearby carriage house, and for nature enthusiasts, I invite you to the castle park where there isthe richest collection of woody plants in Poland.
