The Food Bank For New York City, the area’s major hunger-relief organization, has appointed Margarette Purvis its new president and chief executive officer. Effective October 1, 2011. Ms. Purvis succeeds Dr. Lucy Cabrera, whose retirement after more than two decades as head of the organization was announced in January.
This project included shooting, directing and editing a short web video communicating the news and connecting the newly appointed CEO with the staff at large through a conversational-style clip, that was then posted on the organization's website, YouTube channel, and distributed with the press release.
Production included HD broadcast-quality digital video shoots, directing, sound and video editing.
