OUTDOOR MURAL FOR BVG

For my first outdoor mural project I had the opportunity to work at Mauerpark for the Berlin transport company BVG.
For the development of a mural for BVG, I initially presented two different concepts. The first concept is abstract and utilizes vibrant, colorful shades as well as various elements to incorporate subtle references to BVG, such as tram signs. The second concept, on the other hand, focuses on depicting various individuals who are meant to represent the city of Berlin and BVG passengers. The latter was chosen and further elaborated upon.
The chosen design for the mural draws inspiration from Mauerpark, which is a significant part of Berlin's cultural landscape. The atmosphere of Mauerpark is reflected in the mural's scenery, with a multitude of people from different age groups and cultural backgrounds being portrayed. These individuals represent the diversity and vibrant urban life in Berlin.

For the first time, I have used the doodle technique to transfer my sketch to the wall. This process opened up a new approach for future mural projects.By using facade paint I achieved a result that guarantees longevity. The implementation of the approximately 70 square meters building, took a total of 8 days. The result is a beautified house for BVG employees and a vibrant, colorful highlight in the Mauerpark area.
