One of my earliest works created in 2017 using After Effects and Photoshop. This piece is about contrasting perspectives. Misaligned by cultural bias, the stigma of mental illness, the darkness of despair, and the will to not be defeated, never to surrender.

Did you know that more than 80% of all divorced marriages of couples with children, is preceded by the breakdown in communication due to post-partum depression, post-partum blues. This is compounded by the use of contraceptive medication. A subtle hormonal shift to stave off conception at the cost of disruption in mood. The roles of both parties biased by the core of their youthful upbringing and societal norms. A recipe for unprecedented words and actions, the polar opposite of the kindness, excitement, anticipation, and joy that brought them together in the first place. A chaotic spiraling effect of confrontation and actions that appears to spin, opposite of the world around. All the while a tiny human totally dependent on two, fills the role of the fuel and the extinguisher of a fire of unknown porportion.

A true test of what one is made of and "The Beginning" of what one will become.
