WOMEN DESIGNERS | Lambe-Lambe

This project represents a few of the activities developed in the Sketchbook subject. The brief was to promote Brazilian women designers, with the aim of popularising them and presenting their work.
The course aimed to
study visual montages with an emphasis on material realization through various exercises for formal understanding
The designers chosen were Regina Gomide Graz, Bea Feitler, Mary Vieira, Baba Vacaro, Lygia Clark and Bruna Octaviano due to personal aesthetic affinities and previous assimilations
The application of lambe-lambe reveals the aspect of identity, visual hierarchy and authenticity when mentioning each designer
A second activity consisted of producing a poster emphasising Brazilian references of Afrofuturism. With this in mind, the song "Dandalunda" by Margareth Menezes was chosen as the centrepiece of the project. The idea of movement, dynamism and vivacity is revealed by the two-dimensional representation of a whirlpool, and the choice of the Sura font consolidates the graphic interpretation of Dandalunda
