Walk This Way is a wonderful annual event hosted by the College of DuPage that showcases the artwork of local high school students in a wide range of styles and media. The event attracts many new visitors to the campus each year, including this year's 2014 event, which was marked as a huge success.

This client job started out as a class assignment, with the client expressing their desire to have a logo that appealed to a younger audience, represented the idea behind "Walk This Way," and could be used for many years to come. It was an honor to be chosen to design the final logo for the event.

Keeping the client's main objectives in mind, I played off the title of the event, Walk This Way, and designed a wordmark enclosed in a maze. To help promote the college, the maze suggests students can take many different paths to reach their artistic dreams, but they all lead towards finding success at College of DuPage. I felt by keeping the design more minimalistic, it would also help appeal to a younger audience.

Version 2 of the Walk This Way logo is what was used by the client for the 2014 event while version 3 is what I used to include in my portfolio. Below are a few pictures taken during the event. If you would like to check out more of COD's 2014 Walk This Way Art Exhibitioin, visit the link below!
