Pain Point
Local businesses in the GTA have a poor online presence, resulting in less interaction with clients.

My UX design team collaborated with Yelp's team to improve local businesses' online presence, connecting them with more customers and growing their business.
We narrowed down our focus to the local tailor businesses
Design process

Starting from the Double Diamond process, We used design thinking in this case study. It helps to establish a precise business vision, and I find the double diamond framework to be beneficial due to its well-defined structure, clarity, and flexibility. Additionally, it offers agility in its implementation.

Hypothesis

Utilizing modern 3D technologies such as VR or AR help businesses:

Create exciting and innovative experiences, expand their reach, and enhance their online presence, help restore the sense of tangibility that is essential for tailor services and often missing in virtual experiences, providing engaging experience that is comparable to in-person interactions.
Proposed Ideation
Using Scaniverse, a 3D scanning app that could be a game changer for interacting with tailors online.

With Scaniverse integrated into Yelp, customers will be able to send 3D scans to tailors, enabling them to provide a more accurate and personalized tailoring experience. This feature will also allow clients to have a better understanding of the tailoring process and materials used, which will be an important factor in their decision-making process.

User Testing
We utilized UserTesting to validate the integration of our new 3D scanning service into the Yelp app. The test helped us identify critical areas that needed improvement, allowing us to enhance the user interface and flow for the next iteration.
