I came across a competition on Instagram called Unite The Summer, where you collaborate with a photographer to create a typographic image using lettering and a photograph.

 

For my submission, I took my own photo of the moon and used the quote "Live by the sun, love by the moon" and created the following..

When I was happy with the final typography, I scanned it into the computer and traced over the lettering on Illustrator, then placed the type on the image of the moon and messed around with the colours a bit so that they complimented the shades of the harvest moon.
