Studentski hostel na prostoru kompleksa Stare šečerane na beogradskoj opštini Čukarica lociran je prekoputa Ade Ciganlije, u neposrednoj blizini Hipodroma. Parcela na kojoj se ovaj objekat nalazi je površine oko 2700 m2. Objekat je spratnosti P+2, neto površine 949 m2, a bruto površine 1805 m2.
Kolski pristup parceli predvidjen je sa zapadne strane objekta. Taj pristup ujedno predstavlja i ekonomski pristup za snabdevanje hostela. Glavni pešački pristup nalazi se sa južne strane parcele, a tu se nalazi i glavni ulaz u objekat.
/ Urban setting:
The student hostel on the premises of the Stare Šečerana complex in the Belgrade municipality Čukarica is located across the street from Ada Ciganlija, in the immediate vicinity of the Hippodrome. The plot on which this building is located has an area of 2700 m2. The building has P+2 floors, net area 949 m2, gross area 1805 m2.
Vehicular access to the plot is provided from the west side of the building. This access is also an economic entrance for supplying the hostel. The main pedestrian access is on the south side of the plot, and there is also the main entrance to the building.

Oblikovanje :
Objekat se sastoji iz dve vizuelne odnosno funkcionalne grupacije. Jedan deo objekta kom je pristup omogućen preko glavnog ulaza, a takode i ekonomskog ulaza obuhvata hol, recepciju, trpezariju, kuhinju i tehničke prostorije. Takodje omogućen je pristup narednim etažama preko jezgra koje je vizuelno upadljivo. Sa drugim delom objekta ovaj deo je povezan pasarelom koja vodi ka studentskom klubu u prizemlju.
Objekat je u celini vizuelno izdužen, sa prepustima koji su formirani drugim spratom i interesantnim drvenim vertikalama koje su postavljene u izvučenim delovima objekta.

/ Shaping :
The building consists of two visual and functional groupings. One part of the building, accessible through the main entrance, as well as the economic entrance, includes the hall, reception, dining room, kitchen and technical rooms. It is also possible to access the upper floors through the stairway, which is visually striking. This grouping is connected to the other part of the building by a footbridge that leads to the student club on the ground floor.
The building as a whole is visually elongated, with overhangs formed by the second floor and interesting wooden verticals placed in the some parts of the building.

Funkcionalna organizacija :
Funkcionalna organizacija objekta prati podelu u oblikovanju, kao što je već naglašeno. U prvom delu objekta, u prizemlju se nalaze glavni ulaz, recepcija, bagaž, trpezarija povezana sa kuhinjom koja ima svoj ekonomski pristup koji omogučava snabdevanje objekta namimicama. Prisutne su i dve tehničke prostorije koje imaju sopstvene pristupe i nisu povezane sa drugim prostorijama iznutra. Jezgro u prvom delu objekta vodi do prvog sprata na kom se nalaze spavaće jedinice. U drugom delu objekta nalaze se studentski klub sa toaletima, a takode i sobe za osobe sa invaliditetom i još jedno jezgro koje vodi na gornje etaže. Na prvom spratu iznad ovog dela objekta se nalaze spavaće sobe, tj. smeštajni deo koji se prostire celom dužinom objekta na prvom spratu. Što se smeštajnili jedinica tiče, u njih spadaju dvokrevetne sobe sa sopstventra kupatilom, četvorokrevetne, šestokrevetne i osmokrevetne sobe. Dva jezgra koja se nalaze i u levom i u desnom delu objekta vode na prohodan krov slobodan za korišćenje za goste hostela.
