For my graduation project at Camberwell University of the Arts I decided to make a series of work inspired by Angela Carter's The Erl King. I tried several new techniques for this series, working in both black and white and colour. This project was mainly aimed at getting comfortable with drawing scenery and taking a break from drawing full on portraits. The final images are printed large scale and are currently on display at Camberwell University of the Arts till the 23rd of July 2014.
''The trees stir with noises of women who have lost themselves'
'Only the sweetest singers he will keep'
'You can keep me in one of your cages and mock my loss of liberty'
'The Erl King will do you grievous harm'
'Mother, mother, you have murdered me!'
