Franklin: Pizzeria with Taste and History in the Heart of Vilnius
Franklin is not just a pizzeria, it is a real journey through time and flavors. It is located in the historic center of Vilnius in a building that is more than 200 years old and preserves evidence of past eras. This project required a creative approach and a technical ingenuity to restore and transform the space.

After dismantling the old partitions and structures of the previous owners, we managed to significantly increase the space of the pizzeria. During the working process, we found several hidden technical rooms that were previously walled up. We used these spaces for a part of the technical processes of the pizzeria that helped to make a greater functionality.
At the entrance, you are greeted by a small hall, perfect for a quick snack or it can be the best place to start the day. The central element of this space is a bar counter, decorated with the accent chandeliers, which carry us to the atmosphere of American culture of the 20s of the last century. The decor of the space is also complemented by a painting created by Ukrainian artists (brothers) Feros and Dilk, which helps to show the theme of the pizzeria.

Passing to the second hall, you have a unique opportunity to see the cooking process, as this hall is located right next to the kitchen. The large and comfortable space of the second hall is designed for meetings with friends or romantic evenings by candlelight.
During the restoration of the building, we tried to preserve its historical character. The wooden beams, ceilings and original masonry with all its historic artifacts are a part of Franklin's unique design.

This project went beyond the scope of a usual work, as it was the first object of our studio abroad. The design was made by taking into account the fact that almost all furniture is made in Ukraine. Everything was designed by taking into consideration the features of the historic building, that gave challenges and brought excitement to the project.

Franklin is a gastronomic journey into the past, complemented by a modern comfort and design.
