We've had the distinct pleasure of creating a number of different posters for the UO Outlands free-to-play shard.
From their website, "UO Outlands is a free-to-play Ultima Online shard loosely set in the T2A era which launched in October of 2018. Our mission from the onset has been to create a version of Ultima Online which enhances every aspect of gameplay, creating a shard which we believe emulates how Ultima Online should have always been had it stayed the course."
Ultima Online was one of the first MMO's(massively multiplayer online game) to ever be released long before World of Warcraft and those types of games. (1997) Before any of those games, you had UO, an online role playing game of swords and sorcery that wrapped up so many young teenagers minds, who spent way too many hours playing this game on dial up rather than hitting the books in high school!
Outlands uses the guts of the original game but tinkered with and now an original mmo created by Owyn. He approached us awhile back to help create some fun content celebrating in-game events. Being an Outlands player already just stirred even more excitement to create some posters for the game. Below are some of the different posters for events. Obviously heavily inspired by vintage posters we wanted to keep palettes simplistic and tip our hats to art of the past.
