So, I am back again and really excited to share with y'all another exciting project, in the category of 3D Product Animations, called "Calm Nights". Calm is the CBD Oil Brand. Nights is the product name which helps its consumers sleep well at night.
A Complete Approach to Branding, Packaging, Creative Direction & 3D Product Animation (Packaging Design, CGI & Visualization).
Branding:
The overall brand identity for the brand lies at the core of the product. CBD Oil is used for many reasons but Nights is here to help you sleep well. The main logo is a big cannabis leaf that sits in the center of the sticker. There's a cliff in the background with a full moon in the background to showcase dreams and serenity of the night. The forest around the cannabis leaf represents all the struggles and worries of the user in the mind when he goes to sleep that the product will help him with.
Creative Direction:
For the product ad, I came up with a storyboard and a little bit of storytelling magic which tells the story of how Calm nights can help you sleep like a baby.
Storytelling (Must read):
- The vines grow in the start of the ad that depict tensions, worries, responsibilities and anxiety taking over the mind leaving it helpless.
- The vines are shown having thorns that would damage the thinking process of the mind.
- Introduction of the hero (product) with light leaks, closeups, smoke simulations and entrance of the product that forces the vines to "retreat".
- Growth of nature and flowers to showcase calmness of the mind coming back.
3D Product Visualization:
I started with closeup shots of the bottle with light leaks to tease the audience. The shape is showcased in this style. The packaging design is shown in a closeup from bottom to top and the overall bottle design is introduced with a smoke explosion. In the final shot, the product sits on a light platform that depicts serenity, calmness and stress relief of the mind.
