Project 1: Hooray for Biodiversity!
Challenge
The main goal for this project is to design an activity that engages youth in learning about nature and the need for biodiversity.

Applications
Procreate, Photoshop

Client
Class Project & National Science Foundation

Activity
My activity is an engaging matching game featuring endangered Sub-Saharan snakes. Age ranges from 8-10 years old. Kids are invited to delve into the world of these remarkable reptiles, where they'll read intriguing snake facts and decipher clever clues to determine which sticker from the collection at the back of the book matches each snake. By successfully pairing stickers with their corresponding snakes, participants not only learn valuable information about these endangered species but also collect a set of unique stickers showcasing each snake's distinctive features.
Layout
I aimed to craft a streamlined design for the primary layout of the information pages, prioritizing readability and accessibility for kids. The goal was to ensure that children could easily grasp the clues and navigate through the activity seamlessly. While I considered infusing a touch of excitement and dynamism to further captivate young readers, I believe that the activity page and stickers already offer a vibrant and visually appealing experience for children.
Sticker Design
In crafting the sticker designs, my aim was to present a captivating image of the snake that would truly "wow!" children and ignite their curiosity about these remarkable creatures. Drawing inspiration from vibrant Africa-themed posters, I sought to infuse an extra layer of appeal and visual depth into my design, elevating the overall experience and piquing children's interest in delving deeper into the world of snakes and their unique characteristics.
