Passion project animation, inspired by time and how we deal with this inherently intangible element.
Concept
Recently, I read the book Keep Going by author Austin Kleon, and it hit the spot at just the right time. The outcome of that was this animation.
The theme is time and how we deal with it. Through animation, we transition from the mechanical perception of time, symbolized by the more representacional clock, to the concept of seasons. There, we have a profusion of abstraction, colors, and basic shapes, constantly shifting in color and dynamics through cuts. Between points A and B, I also suggest a widely recognized UI/UX symbol, a button famous for its microinteraction with light modes, making the transition from dark to light.
The ending is a bold choice, impacting with simple text animations, yet carrying a profound message, amplified by the immersive soundtrack. The soundtrack is crucial. In the end, I deeply believe that we should perceive time in intervals, like seasons of the year, allowing space for natural progress, much like a tree shedding its fruits in winter for a new beginning in spring.
