Mark and simplified visual identity for PGS

MARK AND SIMPLIFIED VISUAL IDENTITY DESIGN
Państwowa Galeria Sztuki w Sopocie / The State Art Gallery in Sopot, Poland

The National Gallery of Art in Sopot asked me to design a mark and a simplified visual identity, mainly for its social media communication. There was also the problem of making the information in the Gallery space itself more consistent. The need arose from the lack of some kind of signet, or graphic form of an acronym, which could be used in online communication.
For the mark, there was also the concept of developing the identity into simple forms based on the shape of a square, which will work well both as a post on Facebook or Instagram, as well as marking the space. Icons based on a modular grid were designed to complement the simple layout.
A key element of the system is also a graphic form referring to the architecture of the building. The changeability of the structures is illustrated by shifting the central letter in the mark. To add stability, I added a horizontal line, which has a minimalist feel and is also reflected in the visual identity system.
The simplified sign was also included in the programs I designed for July and August this year, which were printed in double colors for the month.
